nother casualty.

Glenrock Recreation Center officials have announced they will be canceling the T-Ball and I-League baseball seasons, according to their Facebook page this past weekend.

T-Ball is 4 to 6-year-olds, and I-League is 7 to 9-year-olds, making it hard to keep them separated.

“With the six-foot guidelines it would be too difficult to make sure kids that age will stay six feet apart while making sure all of the sanitation rules are followed. The safety of the kids is the most important thing and we just couldn’t guarantee that we could run the season safely,” Zeiger said.

Zeiger also mentioned that registration was low for the upcoming season.

Little League baseball in Glenrock will also be canceled, due to Casper canceling their season. Casper makes up the bulk of the opponents the Glenrock teams would play. Little League makes up age groups 10 to 15-years-old.

Gov. Mark Gordon recently eased restrictions on outdoor activities allowing up to 250 people to attend events, but the CDC still recommends people maintain six-feet of separation to lower the risk of being infected with the virus.

If you have already signed up for any of these leagues, the rec center will be in contact with you, according to Zeiger.

If you have any questions you can call the rec center at (307)436-5434.
