In Glenrock elections Bruce Roumell led the mayor’s race over Linda Care-Smith, receiving 54 percent of the vote to Care-Smith’s 25 percent. Sixteen percent of the vote went to write-in candidates, with many of those votes likely going to Kaye Lynn VanAntwerp, who ran an official write-in campaign. Roumell and Care-Smith advance to the general election.
With two town council seats up for election, AnnaBelle “Boots” Faunce led the way with 32 percent of the vote, followed by Roy Kincaid and Tiffany Larramendy with 20 and 19 percent, respectively. Incumbent councilman Russ Dalgarn will advance to the general election as well, after receiving 12 percent of the vote. Dennis Flynn, currently a town councilman, will not advance to the general election after receiving just 6 percent of the vote.
In Rolling Hills, incumbent mayor Jon Maines will serve another term after receiving 94 votes compared to three write-in votes.
Incumbent Kenneth Montgomery and newcomer Chauna Nugent will likely serve as Rolling Hills councilman. Montgomery took 84 votes to Nugent’s 73. There are two council seats open at the general election, which will be Nov. 6.
