Wyoming Department of Family Services offers winter heat help

Applications for a home heating help program are being accepted through Feb. 28 through the Wyoming Department of Family Services.
The program, called LIEAP, helps lower income households cover the costs of heating a home. Applicants can own or rent their home. Help is available to pay for electric, natural gas heat as well as propane, diesel heating oil, coal, wood and pellets.
More than 10,000 families in Wyoming are currently being served through LIEAP.
To get an application, visit your local DFS office or senior center, call 1-800-0246- 4221 or print an application at www.dfs.wy.gov
