Half price spay and neuter month at local veterinarians

Bookmark and Share

Laramie Peak Humane Society is inviting Converse County residents to take part in the biannual spay/neuter month event running through February. LPHS will pay for half of the spay or neuter cost and half of the cost to vaccinate the pet against rabies if they are not current.

LPHS has been providing this service twice a year to the community since 2002 in an effort to reduce unwanted animals in the county. In addition to helping animals live healthier lives, this proactive approach reduces the number of homeless pets that often end up at the shelter. Not only does spaying and neutering reduce the number of euthanasia of adoptable animals but it allows for a safer and more responsible community.

To take advantage of this half-price offer, contact Riverbend Veterinary Hospital at 358-4910, Smylie Animal Clinic at 358-3231, or Central Wyoming Veterinary Services at 436-8313. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required. LPHS will pay for half of the rabies cost if your pet is not up to date.

Once vaccinated, bring proof of rabies vaccination to LPHS for a free city or county license or the Douglas Police Department. Space is limited so make an appointment soon.
