Wrestlers pick up win ring busy week

Glenrock wrestlers were busy last week, competing Jan 28, 29, and 30. The Herders lost to Buffalo 60-18 Jan. 28 and beat Rawlins 42-30 Jan. 29.

Matt Widiker and Lane Blakely picked up pins against Rawlins.

Matt Widiker, 135 pounds, picked up a win against Jacob Wilson of Rawlins Jan. 29 and finished third at the Greybull invite in Thermopolis Jan. 30. Lane Blakely, 112 lbs., pinned Zach Sherman of Rawlins and Dakota Schassetz of Buffalo Jan. 28. He also finished sixth at Thermopolis.

In the second chance tournament in Thermopolis, Tyler Berge, 135 lbs., and Taylor Yingling, 160 lbs., took first place. Raider Nelson, 130 lbs., finished second and Brandon Pittsley, 119 lbs., Whisper Summers, 125 lbs., and Cole Nelson, 160 lbs., all finished fourth.
