Police responded to 84 calls from Feb. 23 to March 1. Arrests, citations, investigations and tales of the strange are listed with others below.
Feb. 23
- An officer was unable to locate a dog reported at large.
- A report was taken regarding a traffic accident in the Glenrock High School parking lot. No injuries were reported.
- Game and Fish was notified of a deer caught in a fence.
- One subject was transported to Casper via ambulance.
- A dog at large was picked up by its owner.
- Marie Johnson, 26, was cited for domestic violence and one subject was transported to Casper following a dispute.
- One subject was transported to Casper via ambulance.
- Karen Shannon, 49, was cited for limits on backing following a minor traffic accident in the post office parking lot.
- One subject was transported to Casper via ambulance.
- A suspicious vehicle was reported, but everything was okay.
Feb. 24
- One subject was transported to Casper via ambulance.
- An officer spoke with the parties involved in a suspicious vehicle report.
- Child endangerment was reported, and the investigation is ongoing.
- The Converse County Sheriff’s Office relayed a REDDI report.
Feb. 25
- A parking problem was reported, and the owner of the vehicle moved it.
- A possibly suicidal subject was reported. An officer spoke with the parties involved and determined the report to be unfounded.
- A verbal warning was issued for driving habits.
- An officer provided traffic control in front of the Naughty Pine Saloon, after booze and broken bottles were spilled from the back of a subject’s truck.
Feb. 26
- One subject was transported to Casper via ambulance.
- Animal Control spoke with the owner of dogs at large.
- Dogs at large were retrieved by their owner.
- Amy Weaver, 29, was transported to Probation and Parole in Douglas and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
- A verbal warning was issued for an out taillight.
- A verbal warning was issued for failure to yield to a stop sign.
- A verbal warning was issued for an out brake light.
- A verbal warning was issued for following too close.
- Ranae Layher, 38, was cited for no insurance.
- Robert Campbell, 49, was arrested for DUI.
Feb. 27
- A juvenile was reported missing, but later was located by their family.
- An officer responded to a suspicious person report.
- A message was left for Animal Control regarding a dog at large.
- An mp3 player with headphones was entered into the lost and found.
- A verbal warning was issued for improper display.
Feb. 28
- A verbal warning was issued for following too close.
- Elijah Jarosh, 30, was cited for speed.
- A gas drive-off was reported.
- A written warning was issued for speed.
- Animal Control was notified of a dog at large.
- A barking dog complaint was reported.
- John Kelly, 24, was cited for speed and no insurance.
- Michael Dollins, 33, was cited for speed and no insurance.
- A parking citation was issued.
Feb. 29
- The Converse County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a suspicious person report.
- An officer performed a welfare check.
- Margaret Mock, 62, was cited for careless driving following a single vehicle accident which resulted in a power pole being knocked over along U.S. 20-26. Minor injuries were reported, but no subjects were transported via ambulance. Officers provided traffic control.
